Who is invited? Do I have to be in Law Enforcement?

• EVERYONE and NO! 

• Law Enforcement across the world are the Guardians of the Flame for the Special Olympics, and we will help our athletes carry the Flame of Hope as we run. However, we invite all to come and join the movement, including family, friends, neighbors, and community leaders. 

• We can all show up and show out for our Special Olympics Utah Aggies!

 

If I cannot run 1 mile, can I still participate?

• YES, we will go at a very slow walk/jog and we will periodically stop as well.

• We also pull a trailer behind the lead Sheriff’s Office truck you can ride on.

 

Is there a ride back to the start?

• YES, we will be taking the trailer back up to the beginning after the party.

• You can also walk back to the start if you would like to, but the road will not be closed.

 

What is the cost and what does my donation go towards?

• The $25 T-shirt is the only donation we ask for.

• All money goes to support our Special Olympics athletes, including uniforms and booking sport venues.

 

Do I have to buy a shirt to participate?

• YES, we are raising money for our amazing Special Olympic Athletes!

• If you cannot afford a tee for all of your children, buy one for all of the adults and bring the kids anyway. This is an amazing family event!

 

Do I have to wear the Torch Run shirt during the run?

• YES, we will all be in the same shirt to maximize exposure and stand out as supporters of the Flame.

How will the after party work?

• If you are a Special Olympics Athlete, we will buy you dinner at In-N-Out.

• If you are not, we want you to stay and join us, but you will be asked to purchase your own meal.

 

Can I bring my pet? 

• NO, please leave them at home. We want to be sensitive to allergies.

 

Can I ride a bike? 

• YES, we want you there however you can come, just please stay behind the Flame of Hope.

 

Can I bring a stroller?

• YES, ALL are welcome!
